Today im gonna write something about a new resort in Sepang, Malaysia – A Golden Palm Tree at Sepang Gold Coast a 30 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Its a 5 star resort – haven of peace & tranquillity.
I checked in on Friday nite and left on Sunday morning.

- Perfect for a honeymooners.
- Its peace and quite – perfect for a writer to write a bestseller, a songwriter to compose a hits
- The bed & the pillow- aahhhhh so good, you wont want to wake up in the morning, but you have to..because
- You want to have breakfast by the infinity pool
- Internet is free and its quite fast at 1.14mbps, as i tested using Speedtest.net.
- Hospitality is the best here..sure you cant forget. All staff here is very very very friendly
- Food…mmmmm, not that bad, just fine.
- Night show during dinner at the clubhouse is very entertaining.
- And they have live bands too.

1. Yes..suitable for the whole family. Got a lot of games and fun stuff for kids, indoor and outdoor.
2. Food..its a standard hotel rate (nor cheap neither expensive)and yes its Halal. Except for a few restaurant (like chinese) which served non-halal food.

1. Perbezaannya hanya sedikit di mana permiere mempunyai 1 katil double dengan kelambu dan ceiling lebih tinggi dan nampak alang2 dan atap. Manakala travelers mempunyai 2 katil single dan ceiling yang lebih rendah. Ini kerana keduanya adalah di unit yang sama kecuali Travelers di tingkat bawah dan Premiere di tingkat atas (dengan view yang lebih cantik). Saiz keduanya adalah sama iaitu 52square metre
2. Kedudukan kedua-duanya adalah di Tree Trunk (batang pokok kelapa)bermula dari Hotel Lobby sehingga ke Club House. Sila rujuk gambar pertama di atas sekali. Hotel lobby tidak kelihatan (di kanan sekali) tetapi bulatan di tengah itu adalah club house di mana terdapat restaurant, gym, swimming pool dan sebagainya lagi. Kedudukan unit Traveler dan premiere adalah diantara lobby dan clubhouse. Yang paling jauh ke tengah adalah unit yang paling mahal.

1. Yes its offer more privacy than others since the location is at the very tip of the palm leaf.
2. I would not say that its really worth the price tag. With RM3,500 per nite, a large villa just for the 2 of you seems so unpractical. The villa have 3 bedroom and can accomodate 6 adults and at least 4 children. Why must you spend that much for the other 2 rooms that you wont be sleeping?
3. I would recommend Premiere Travellers Palm. Just nice for a couple..its offer privacy too. Others villa like Canary & Ivory also for large pax of 4 or 5 adults. So..dont waste your money. Unless youre bringing the whole family there.
4. Would it be my first choice? Well..to relax and rejuvenate during the weekend,it will be a good choice. But for a honeymoon couple or want a romantic time together, with a huge budget like you (i guess since you want to stay at Royal Palm Villa) I would suggest somewhere like Pangkor Laut Resort (www.pangkorlautresort.com)or Tanjong Jara Resort (www.tanjongjararesort.com).

You would not believe this but my first choice was the Pangkor Laut Resort but since there are no flights from KLIA,( not sure why ) it is very difficult to get there, 3+ hour drive and 30min boat ride. Then the thought of doing it all again before getting on a long haul flight back to Australia… too much I think.
I have also looked at the Tanjong Jara Resort and it is easier to get to, but no beach??? if I remember correctly. Looks beautiful though and great reviews. I shall look at that one again. We only have 4 days and as they are the final ones of our trip before we return home, we would like them to be special.
Any other suggestions would be very much appreciated.

If you really want to have a crystal clear water and white sandy beach and luxury resort, then you have to choose Tioman Island.
Japamala Resort in Tioman Island is probably the best choice (www.japamalaresorts.com). You can directly fly in to the island using Berjaya Air (at Subang Airport, 45 minutes from KLIA and an hour flight to the island) and let Japamala arrange your transfer from the island airport to resort.
Second option would be Langkawi. Try Tanjung Rhu Resort, Four Seasons or The Andaman. From KlIA you can take domestic flight to Langkawi (1 hour flight) and another 25 minutes ride to the resorts.
If you want it to be near to KL, your only choice is Sepang Gold Coast and another one is Port Dickson which is an hour from KLIA. Avillion is a good choice (www.avillion.com). But, please bear in mind that both beaches (Sepang and Port Dickson) isnt suitable for a beach-goers. You will have a nice sea view but the water and beaches is not good. I hardly recommend.
I strongly recommend Japamala Resorts.

1. The rate is per chalet/room and its not per head. So If 2 person or 4 person..the rate is the same. (if 4 person then someone need to crash on the sofa and on the floor ;))
2. Yeah..there is load of activities..indoors and outdoor on the beach..horse riding, kayaking, archering etc.
3. No its not, breakfast is only included for 2 when you book a certain offers/package. Please check theri website.

Pantai di sepang tidak spt di langkawi dan pantai lain di sebelah pantai barat malaysia yg lebih bersih dan cantik. Pantai sepang kebanyakannya berlumpur maka aktiviti laut spt mandi manda, banana boat dsbnya agak sukar dilihat. Saya tidak berapa pasti samada aktivit tersebut ada disana. Namun saya difahamkan yg golden palm tree resort sudah membuka Xtreme park yg mempunyai aktiviti jetski dsb. Sila semak di website mereka. Tq.

Hello Madam,
I had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the resort since they have quite a good buffet. I would recommend breakfast at the resort and the rest you can venture out and looking for the local stall. Along the beach they have a few good seafood restaurant. But you once should try dining at the resort because they have a good and very entertaining show during dinner. Kids would love it.
As for Food Garden – it is located on the right side of the resort entrance. A good restaurant with varieties of seafood to choose. With a good Balinese style setup..it was cosy and good to have dinner over looking the resort…and a little expensive.
As for Sunset Beach Restaurant – located close to the Food Garden – same setup, same food perhaps ( I never tried).
And as for Tanjung Sepat – there is a few chinese seafood restaurant and one of them is just beside the Tanjung Sepat jetty. Nice view…good if you can go and walk on the jetty and watch the sunset before dinner. You need to drive there towards Morib/Banting and gonna take about 20-30minutes. But its worth it. Its the most favourite place for photographer to have a good photos of sunset, jetty, sea and boats. The Map

I read that outside food and beverages are not allowed into the resort. Is it a non-compromise restriction? Would it be OK if I were to bring stuff like Maggie Mee (which is my favorite food for supper), will they make a thorough check at the entrance or upon check-in?

Yeah..its a standard hotel procedure..they dont want people to mess up their room especially bedsheet and towel with your sambal ikan bilis and other hardcore stain when you spilled em. But then again…nobody gonna check what you bring in your luggage..me myself brought a lot of junk food (mamee, potato chips and also nasi lemak), during my stay. You can even bring your rice pot but make sure after cook, clean up and keep back in your bag..so that the housekeeper will not found out. Just make everything clean and dont messed up..so everybody will be fine.

Wsalam. If you driving from JB, the shortest would be coming from Port Dickson – Lukut – Sepang. But driving from PD to Sepang through Lukut – Bukit Pelanduk might slower you down since its a local road. If you enjoy driving slow on local road with only palm trees (kelapa sawit) and small village along it then it should be a good choice then you will reach Pekan Sepang. Its only a small town. The town is the meeting point if you drive from KLIA or PD.
If you plan to take highway – after Seremban, exit NKVE at Nilai and follow the direction to the KLIA. After exit KLIA toll, keep left and follow the direction to LCCT or F1 Circuit. From the toll then you can follow the map as attached.
After reach Pekan Sepang, its gonna be quite tricky…but follow the map carefully then you sure will reach the destination.

Dari lobi hotel ke chalet disediakan buggy car yang berulang alik. Selepas check-in anda akan dihantar ke chalet anda. Sepanjang penginapan anda boleh menggunakan perkhidmatan tersebut..just jump in bila u terasa nak naik.
Is Travellers Palm Villas wheelchair friendly? Flat floor until inside the room, etc. Is the door big enough for wheelchair to go thru(bathroom)? Are other facilities such as lobby, clubhouse, pool side, restaurants wheelchair accesible?

Traveller palm villas is considered wheelchair friendly since its floor is flat and the same level with the main road/pathways. In the villas everything is flat except an inches down when to access the bathroom and also the balcony. But that height is not a problem rite?
But dont choose “Premiere Traveller” Palm Villas because its located on upper floor of the Traveller and it only have staircase (as you can see in image no4 from the top).
The door is big enough for a wheelchair and lobby is equipped with ramp for trolley and wheelchair. They also provide buggy car services for free.
I barely remember whether the restaurant, club house, poolside etc is equipped for wheelchair accesibility – but i bet, in modern of public amenity design – handicapped accesibility is a requirement, and i think they have it.
