I rarely eat beef nowdays. Its not that its hard to get it here (the halal fresh beef) but i’d try to reduced the red meat intake. Reaching 40s soon, i really need to have a proper diet. Health should be my priority now. Less rice (just twice or thrice a week), more vegetables and fruits and also white meat especially fish….and regular exercise is a must.
But for the past weeks, i’ve been longing for some red meat..especially juicy and tender – melt in your mouth beef.
So today, went to Alim Markt – A Turkish groceries and bought myself Β half a kilo of tender beef. Then plan is to – stir fried Teppanyaki style.
And here you are, Beef Teppanyaki – served with beansprouts and white rice.

This recipe is not the same as you eat in Japanese restaurant – its purely my recipe – to suit my taste. Try at your own risk!
The Ingredients
120-150gm (about a fist size) of fresh tender beef – thinly slice
100gm beansprouts (about a handful)
2 cloves of garlic – thinly slice
1 teaspoon of light soysause
1 teaspoon of garlic powder (optional)
1 teaspoon of white pepper
1 teaspoon of fish sauce. (optional)
2 tablespoon of butter at room temperature.
2 tablespoon of cooking oil.
Salt to taste.
Sesame seed for garnishing (optional)
Parsley for garnishing (optional)
Preparation.
1. Put the sliced beef into a bowl, add a pinch of salt, light soysauce, garlic powder, white pepper, fish sauce and a teaspoon of cooking oil and mixed well. Set aside for a few minutes.
2. Add 2 tablespoon of cooking oil in a small pan and fried the thinly slice garlic and set aside.
3. In a medium or large wok or pan – add a spoonful of used oil from the fried garlic and cook the beef. Stir constantly for about 2-3 minutes then add a tablespoon of butter and fried garlic – mixed well and served preferably in a square plate.
4. Used the same pan or wok then add a spoonful of used cooking oil from the garlic- then cook the beansprouts for 90 seconds then add half tablespoon of butter, white pepper, garlic powder and salt and mixed well. Then quickly served.
5. Serve the beef and vegetables with a bowl of rice. Sprinkle the sesame seed and add parsley as garnish.

The recipe is not the same as you may see in the Japanese restaurant – so the taste might be a little different. But who cares – its my food, my taste and my recipes.

Sebenarnya agak mudah..reply button link tu atau dipanggil “threaded replies” memang dah ada kat blogspot, tetapi sebab setting yg tidak tepat maka button reply link tersebut tidak keluar. Ini kerana dekat blog kak sham sekarang komen akan keluar di “pop up window” yg mana “threaded replies” tak support di situ.
Cara membetulkannya :-
1. Pegi dekat Setting > Post & comments > Comment Location > click Embedded (kak sham punya sekarang adalah “popup window”)- dan save setting.
2. Kemudian pegi dekat Setting > Other > Allow blog feed > click Full – dan save setting.
Done! Selamat mencuba.

Abang gas mogok sebab i panggil dia pakcik..agagaggaa. Tak berasap dapur dua tiga hari..sakit hati rasanya sebab bila nak p order dia kata windsor jauh dari kedai..segala bagai alasan. Hari tu pun masa NP and other blogger datang i goreng spaghetti guna rice cooker.

i pun sama, jarang ambil meat. selalu lunch amik ikan..tak kisahlah ikan masak apa, janji ikan..maklumlah dah 40 ni kan…
selalu kalau i beli daging, i beli yang diimport dari australia..sebab dagingnya lembut dan i lebih suka daging batang pinang… nak jumpa local meat susah sebab i tak pegi pasar pagi dan i tak tahu pun kat mana ada pasar pagi kecuali masa i duduk kat kepong dulu..nowadays i duduk Puchong, jadinya i tak tahu kat mana ada pasar pagi…
kalau local meat yang dijual kat giant tu ditulis buffalo meat.. errr lagi lah i tak makan..memanglah murah compared to daging lembu australia tapi tak ada selera nak beli..

Dok Puchong tu lagi ler dekat dengan Pasar Borong Selangor…best tau, macam2 adaaaaaa.
Daging fresh lagi sedap Net..but sedikit mahal. Daging import australia murah sikit – but sudah di”frozen” dan di”defrost” untuk dijual balik. Yang tulis buffalo meat tu dari India – daging kerbau, tu sangat murah dalam RM7.00 satu pek sekilo.
Cuba-cubalah you all panggil abang gas bukan pakcik tong gas….mesti dia hantar punya.

A ah tak de feel, rasa macam masak main-main jer tahu-tahu ada bau dan mendidih jer..iskk fake sangat rasa gitu sebab dah terbiasa adjust api kecik dan api besar…kan?
Yer betul..i dah setahun setengah masak pakai induction cooker tu…boringggg. Api tak melompat masuk dalam kuali..sungguh tak thrill π

Well..too bad π i love one teppanyaki restaurant in Mid Valley, it is good. Or if you dont mind spending more money to taste a good teppanyaki..just go to the sheraton subang, there is one japs restaurant who served awesome teppanyaki.
