Durian Crepe // Made in Germany

If  I still can remember clearly – last week during raya NP did tag me this durian crepe on her facebook.

Jealous!

She might thought that no way i can have that in Germany.

Well…let me show off now!

Ingredients

4 ulas  large size durian – remove the seeds

230gm flour

1 tablespoon tapioca flour

1 tablespoon cornflour

250ml coconut milk + 250ml water to be mixed together or replaced with 300ml fresh milk + 200ml water

1/2 teaspoon of salt – add to the coconut milk

1 tablespoon of butter – melt it.

3 large eggs

1 teaspoon of vanilla

Yellow colouring.

300gm whipping cream + 120gm of sugar (or ready made whipped cream in a canister)

The Preparation

For the fillings

1. Remove the durian’s seed then mashed it together. Put aside

2. Whipped the cream until smooth and soft peak. (Add sugar is you like it sweet) then put aside #Tips – cream need to be cold and the room temperature also need to be cold if possible..to easily achieved the soft peak.

For the crepes

1. Prepare a blender – add all flour, coconut milk or milk with water and eggs. Blend till smooth and add melted butter and blend again.

2. Heat a small non-stick pan and DO NOT add any oil, butter etc. 

3. Low down the heat to half and add a small scoop of the batter in the pan and sway and roll it till its covers the whole pan.

4. Let its cook for about 40-50 seconds. Shovel it up onto a dish plate and let it cool.

5. When cool – add spoonful of whipped cream in the centre then add a spoonful of durian on top of another and then bags it into square shape.

Not that hard tho to make one really. My crepe is for sure not a pretty good looking as others – but it surely taste good!

currently i tak boleh tengok video sebab i guna office punya internet…depa blocked youtube..

heii i tak cakap pun u tak boleh dapat crepe durian tu kat german tau… :).. did i?? muahahaahaaa…

actually my sister made for order…mula2 dapat makan, yay suka..bila dah byk sangat kat rumah…jemu! sampai dia kata, eh makan la lagi..ni ada lagi ni.. i cakap cemana nak diet ni? tak supportive langsung untuk menyokong kesungguhan adik dia ni nak diet…just imagine, i makan crepe tu bukan satu, tapi 3 roll..berapa kalori dah kat situ…

Khairul…akak suka crepe tapi kalau bubuh durian akak tak berapa suka….cakap pasal durian ni durian kat depan rumah akak dah berbuah tunggu lagi 2 minggu mungkin jatuh la.

Bila ada pokok kat rumah anak2 pulak tak suka sangat makan durian…selalu nya akak bagi kat kawan2 atau mereka datang sendiri bila akak panggil.

    Ohhh akak tak minat durian rupanya. Boleh jer isi crepe tu gantikan dengan pisang ke, nutella ke, strawberi jem ke kan? Wahhh..depan rumah ada pokok durian. Untunglah jiran dan kawan2 akak yer – durian FREE 🙂

Untuk pengetahuan khairul…akak duduk atas tanah lot dalam kawasan kelapa sawit di Teluk Panglima Garang, Selangor… So jiran duduk jauh2 dan masing2 pun ada pokok durian. Suami akak sanggup berulang alik dari Shah Alam sebab dia lebih suka anak2 membesar cara kampung macam dia juga….ini kampung suami akak….akak orang JB.

Tapi sekarang anak2 dah besar..yang sulung kerja di IBM jadi financial analyst,..no 2 di UIA kuantan ambik Math dan yang bongsu di Uitm kuantan buat foundation TESL jadi tinggal lah kami berdua je dirumah.

    Ohhh…gitu ceritanya. Takle jauh sangat kat Shah Alam dgn TPG tu…30minit jer kot. Anak2 pun semua dah kira berjaya…Alhamdulillah. nanti balik Malaysia boleh ler saya gi makan duria free kat rumah akak yer. 🙂

    3 ulas RM24? aiyyoooo – semalam i beli 2 pek 4 ulas dalam 9euro = lebih kurang RM36. Uish..mahalnya.

          I haven’t had durian since we were last in Thailand. The qaliuty of this fruit in the U.S. is very poor and probably contributes to the bad reputation it has here.     Eza..resepi saya ni mudah untuk diri saya, kalau u tgk kat internet.macam2 lagi resepi uk buat crepe tu..kena pakai tepung itulah..inilah…(mungkin akan lebih sedap..lembut dan sebagainya). Bagi saya..ini adalah yg paling mudah dan tepung tu jer yg saya ada. Mungkin dah sedap bagi saya..mungkn tak bagi orang lain. Apa2 pun..selamat mencuba 🙂

i baru lepas try. fyi, i ni mmg x pandai bab dapur (dgn malunya bagi taw hahaha >*_*<). tapi sbb saya suka makan mende saja laa nak try.

tetapiiiii, my crepe x jadi. satu: lempenbg terlalu tebal i buat. tak eti nak bagi nipis. kedua, (ini mmg nampak sgt tak pernah buat kek, hehehe) i punya krim lembik. waktu i whip dia dah mcm kental. tapi dia jadi mencair.

so i think my crepe tak menjadi laaa 🙁 huwaaaa….

    Hi Huda..

    Haaaa..too bad. Tak jadi yer. Jangan risau…cuba lagi yer. Some tips for you.

    1. Bancuhan tu hanya perlu dalam satu senduk kecil atau 2 sudu sahaja. Masukkan 2 sudu bancuhan ke dalam senduk dan tengok aras mana atau berpa banyak kuantiti dlm senduk, mungkin separuh senduk atau 3 suku senduk sahaja. Then gunakan ukuran tersebut. Sekiranya awak rasa bancuhan tadi masih terlalu pekat untuk awak buat..tambah sedikit air. Bagi cair lagi dan senang untuk dilenggangkan dalam kuali tadi. Tips – jangan letak minyak/butter dlm kuali yer. guna kuali yg tak melekat.

    2. Whipped cream – cepat mencair kalau suhu bilik panas. Dah whipped – masukkan dalam fridge, bila nak pakai then keluarkan.

    Cuba lagi yer – usaha tangga kejayaan 🙂

tq for the tips. i dah simpan the cream in fridge. and dah kuarkan balik pon hehe. so krim dah ok sket. 🙂

cuma krim tu i rasa tak spt my fevret durian crepe yg i selalu beli di ikano. mungkin krim dia jenis lain kot and manis sket.

anyway tq yea ^_^

Salam En Khairul…

Maaf nak mencelah lagi. Sebelum ni saya ada bertanyakan pasal perniagaan batik. Khabarnya, En. Khairul juga buat design untuk website… macamana nak berurusniaga? Boleh bagi e-mel? Macam mana kalau gambar produk saya captured sendiri dan bagi untuk pihak En. Khairul untuk design? Saya dah cuba dengan beberapa member kat sini tapi selalu sahaja sekerat jalan dan ada sahaja saya tak berkenan. Nak buat sendiri facebook pun tak sempat. Sekarang saya masih bekerja dengan PBT. Penat! Ke hulu dan ke hilir ambil gambar dan buat sikit-sikit part time design. Masa banyak di tempat kerja. Buat permulaan ini, keluarga mulakan dulu perihal batik tu… Harap dapat membantu.     I may have to try one in the bigger cities but at my usual hang-abouts there is nothing as great as Durian being offered…

    luckily I got plenty of access at the moment…right next to one of the biggest producer countries 😉

    Hello Jayce,

    I would not recommend you to incorporate both. But…you can try mixed it a little and put aside for a while and look how it turn out to be. How it gonna taste and how the texture gonna look like. If it is ok with you then go ahead.
