Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring & Daylight Saving Time

25/03/2012

spring2012-7

Hello everyone. Its been a while since my last post. Seriously i don’t have the mood to write, and i don’t feel like writing craps, or copy and paste someone’s articles or just telling uninteresting stories about my daily life or anything silly (which i did sometimes ago).

Just so you know, winter with it’s miserable weather is officially over. And now came spring with warmer climate and cherry blossoms.

Winter is over.

Goodbye all coldness and misery.

Hello spring.

Sunshine, extra warm, flowers and bright and beautiful day.

Daylight Saving Time.

Or also known as summer time is the practice of advancing clocks so that evenings have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in autumn. This year, Daylight Saving Time started on 25th March 2010 at 2.00am, so when local standard time was about to reach :-

  • Sunday, 25 March 2012, 02:00:00 clocks were turned forward 1 hour to
  • Sunday, 25 March 2012, 03:00:00 local daylight time instead

The DST will end on 28th October 2012. So When local daylight time is about to reach :-

  • Sunday, 28 October 2012, 03:00:00 clocks are turned backward 1 hour to
  • Sunday, 28 October 2012, 02:00:00 local standard time instead

So, all friends and family in Malaysia, now we’re 6 hours apart (late) and then next Autumn on the 28th we will be 7 hours apart..again.

Thats how it goes since the First World War back in 1914.

Can you believe that? I believe you can.
